Above Photo: Dr. Dennis Carter and his wife Linda at the Trinity Baptist Church in Spartansburg, South Carolina. Dr. Dennis Carter has pastored this church for over thirty years now. He has had a long battle with cancer and is literally a living, walking miracle of the miraculous healing power of God. Dr. Dennis Carter and his wife Linda also have some of the greatest kids I've ever known. They all love and serve the Lord Jesus with all of their hearts, what a great legacy and honor to their dear parents. Dr. Dennis Carter is one of the finest Christians and most Godly men that I know of anywhere on the planet. He also is one of my favorite preachers if not my very favorite, you ought to hear him preach, heavenly! Dr. Carter sums up his life by one simple statement that he often says and writes in his correspondence, "JESUS, never fails!"
Above Photo: Dr. Dennis Carter and his wife Linda at the piano. About ten to fifteen minutes before each worship service, Dr. Carter will sit by his wife at the piano and sing to the "glory of God" as people are taking their place in the service. It is a little "taste of Heaven" to hear him sing as his dear wife accompanies him on the piano. They are the perfect husband and wife team in the Lord's work. They both are a special blessing to me and my wife. If you are in the Spartansburg, SC. area, please go and see this dear man of God and his great church family at the Trinity Baptist Church!
Above Photo: Pastor Dale R. Goodwin and me at the Freedom Baptist Church in Harrisonburg, Virginia. Pastor Dale Goodwin has pastored this church for almost three years now. He pastored in the state of Maryland for fifteen years before coming to Virginia. I'm glad that the Lord has sent him to my home state of Virginia. God has given me a good friend in this dear servant of God. My wife and I were so glad to be with this church on October 19, 2008. I was able to sing and preach and the Lord blessed our time together. The pastor, his wife and daughter, took me and Debbie out to eat after the morning service and we had a good time of food and fellowship with these dear people. We look forward to ministering at this church again in the future.
Above Photo: Pastor Mark Freeman and his wife Madge. These precious folks are two of my dearest friends in the ministry. Bro. Mark Freeman and I grew up as young boys in the state of Florida while our dads pastored in the state. Then when Mark and I became teenagers, our dads both pastored in the state of Michigan. We were friends growing up and both of us followed in our dads foot-steps and are serving the Lord Jesus to this very day. I don't know that God has given to me any more dearer friends than Mark and Madge Freeman. Mark Freeman pastors the First Baptist Church of Daleville Indiana.
Above Photo: Pastor Mark Freeman and me. I was with Bro. Mark Freeman and the First Baptist Church of Daleville, Indiana for a 4-day revival meeting this summer. God saved a precious lady in this meeting on Tuesday night. I praise the Lord for Bro. Mark Freeman and his great church family. Their friendship and faithfulness to Debbie and me through many years of serving the Lord has been a great and special blessing.
Above Photo: Pastor Paul Gabriel, senior pastor of the Columbus Baptist Temple with me. Bro. Paul Gabriel is a new found friend in the ministry. My wife, Debbie and I were able to be with him and his church family this summer and they were a very special blessing us. We are planning to go back in the future. Bro. Gabriel and I both were at Baptist Bible College in Springfield, MO. around the same time. Columbus Baptist Temple has a great history, God has blessed this church and it is currently growing.
Above Photo: I'm with Pastor Brad Davis of the Antioch Baptist Church in Bristol, Virginia. Bro. Davis is a great friend and dear servant of Christ. I was able to minister with him and his dear people in a Sunday morning worship hour. The power of the Lord and His presence was very evident in the service that morning. God is blessing this dear pastor and his church family in an unusual way. I praise God for their love shown to Debbie and me. I look forward to being with this dear pastor on every occasion.
Above Photo: I'm with Pastor Scott Taylor of the Beaver View Baptist Church in Bristol, Virginia. Bro. Taylor is a new found friend and invited me to minister to his people in a gospel music concert. Bro. Scott called the concert, the "Fruit Of The Spirit" concert. What a great name for a gospel music concert and I will be using this same title to promote future concerts in the summer-time next year. I'm so glad that the Lord enabled me to be with this pastor and his church family. I look forward to returning again in the future. Bro. Taylor went to Baptist Bible College in Springfield, MO. where I attended too. I'm glad we have that in common.
Above Photo: My dear wife, Debbie and me, at our home church in Stephens City, Virginia. This was taken two weeks after my wife's surgery. As you can see she was recovering well at this time. I'm so proud of her and how she walked through this great trial. She is my greatest source, humanly speaking, of encouragement and joy. She has put up with me for thirty one years now. She will receive a crown of glory, given to her by our Lord, just for putting up with me.
